Earth Fest to be held at Scissortail Park on April 19

OKC Beautiful will host Earth Fest at Scissortail Park on April 19. The event will feature live music, vendors, and educational classes, all in celebration of the planet.

Live performers at Earth Fest include singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rebekah Ruyle, country-bluegrass artist Mallory Eagle, and Oklahoma City folk band Compost Adjacent. Ruyle is scheduled to take the stage at 10:15 a.m., with the other performances to follow.

Vendors at the event will include Re:Supply, a bulk refill shop offering eco-friendly goods; Okies for Monarchs, an organization working to support monarch butterfly migrations through sustainable landscaping; and Cosmic Curiosities, a vendor focused on oddities and nature-based art.

Educational classes will be offered at the Garden Trellis, located west of the Great Lawn at Scissortail Park. Panels will include a discussion with city officials about the future of public transit in Oklahoma City and a conversation on intersectional environmentalism.

Earth Fest is supported by its conservationist sponsor, Maxcess, as well as ecologist sponsors Leaf Home, Okie Solar, Natural Grocers, Re:Supply, and Stonecloud Brewing — many of which will also host vendor booths.
