An Oklahoma City teenager traveled to the Robbers Cave Family Jeep Invasion in Latimer County recently to spread awareness for suicide prevention.

Samantha Rooney told News 9 her father died by suicide six years ago. To honor him, she decorated her Jeep, which was showcased at the event.

"I think that definitely once something like that happens, or it's happening to you... it's definitely helpful to have someone there whether you want them there or not," Rooney said.

She said she is starting her own organization called Battle Scar Awareness for those dealing with anxiety, depression and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
