The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office along with Fuzzell’s Business Equipment of OKC teamed up to spread some holiday cheer to a few lucky families this week.
The sheriff’s and Fuzzell’s handed out gift certificates that provided a completely prepared Thanksgiving meal big enough to serve 12 people. Some families even received a $200 gift card toward Christmas expenditures.
The gift certificates were redeemable at a local El Reno grocery store, Beachler’s.
"We received the recipients’ names from local churches and charitable organizations" said Canadian County Sheriff Randall Edwards. "These are families that have fallen on hard times and would not have had Thanksgiving or Christmas for their children if not for these donations."
All of the gift certificates were made possible by donations given to the sheriff’s department from Fuzzell’s Business Equipment. The owner of the company, Joe Fuzzell and his wife Susie, are both residents in Canadian County.
"We just wanted to give to these Canadian County families in need, a helping hand this holiday, we have been blessed and we want to pay it forward,” said Joe.
Members of the sheriff’s office met with and distributed the certificates to the families this week.
“Some of the best people on this earth live in Canadian County, Joe and Susie Fuzzell are certainly two of them," said Edwards.
