Oklahoma Attorney General To Meet With President-Elect Trump

A spokesman for Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says Pruitt is to meet with President-elect Donald Trump. 

Lincoln Ferguson told reporters that Pruitt will meet with Trump and his transition team Monday in New York City.

Pruitt campaigned hard for Jeb Bush early in the election cycle. Pruitt was brought in to the Bush campaign to head the Restoring Federalism Task Force.

Pruitt is a Republican and former state legislator. He was elected attorney general in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.

He is not eligible to run for re-election again because of term limits and has been considered a possible future candidate for governor.

Gov. Mary Fallin and former state House Speaker T.W. Shannon have met previously with Trump.
