Alleged Police Impersonator Arrested In McClain County

An alleged police impersonator in McClain County is now off the streets.

Blanchard Police said Mark Monterroso was arrested Friday, following a road rage incident.

Police said the victim of the incident tried to get Monterroso’s insurance information after, he said, Monterroso passed his car on the shoulder kicking up rocks that broke his windshield.

That’s when Monterroso identified himself as an officer, and then apparently chased the victim with a baton.

Blanchard Police arrested Monterroso who had a “City of Verden” commission card on his person. Verden Police said he was not a cop on their force and hadn’t been for over a year.
