A 4.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cherokee, Oklahoma, Tuesday night.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, at 6:43 p.m., this earthquake was recorded eight miles northeast of Cherokee, and 34 miles northwest of Enid.
It was about three miles deep.
