Micky, Minnie and the Disney gang are packing up and leaving Quail Springs Mall. We're told the store will soon be shutting its doors and other shops may be following suit.
Thursday, we talked about "Wet Seal" closing its store at Quail Springs, and now we know the Disney store in the mall will soon be packing up and moving out.
But they aren't the only retailers that are reorganizing. Overnight we learned J.C. Penney and Macy's will both be closing a number of stores this year to focus on smaller operations and fewer employees.
None of the J.C. Penney stores in Oklahoma are expected to close. We're waiting to hear more about Macy's.
CNN Money says a number of other big shops are struggling. Aeropostale made plans to close 75 stores by the end of this month and may do the same for another 50 to 75 stores by the end of the year.
Sales at American Apparel are also down. Abercrombie and Fitch is losing its appeal with teenagers.
And American Eagle is also facing an uphill struggle this year.
Why is all this happening?
For one, experts say young shoppers aren't as willing to pay big bucks for a certain brand. They no longer care which logo is on their shirts or pants. And they're more willing to spend their money on electronics and cell phones.
The other reason -- online shopping is changing the game for a lot of consumers.
