H.E. Bailey Turnpike Back Open After Double-Fatality Crash In Grady County

The H.E. Bailey Turnpike is back open after a double-fatality collision closed parts of the highway for nearly five and a half hours on Tuesday.

Parts of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike were shut down in Grady County due to a double fatality collision Tuesday morning around 10 a.m.

According to authorities, both southbound lanes of the turnpike had to be closed at Mile Marker 91 in Grady County, as crews worked to clear the scene of the wreck.

It is unclear at this time how many vehicles were involved in the collision. But authorities confirmed that two people were killed.
