The Thunder reached an agreement with free agent Sebastian Telfair that will bring the point guard to Oklahoma City for one year on a $1.3 million contract.
Telfair, once a premier prospect out of high school, has bounced around between seven NBA squads and most recently played for the Tianjin Ronggang Golden Lions in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Telfair fills the third point guard spot on the Thunder's roster but he could end up playing significant minutes if the Thunder move Reggie Jackson into the starting two-guard spot.
The vet-minimum contract Telfair signed likely won't affect the team's pursuit of free agents Pau Gasol and Mike Miller, both of whom will have to accept large salary reductions to join up.
