OKC Man Accused Of Pointing Laser At Police Helicopter Appears In Court

A man accused of pointing a laser at the Oklahoma City police helicopter appeared in federal court on Tuesday.

According to police, 23-year-old Jordan Pratt and 21-year-old Dylan Crawford were arrested in October.

On Tuesday, a judge agreed to release Pratt, because he's not considered a threat to the public.

Pratt's attorney says Pratt is very sorry for pointing the laser, and it was a "stupid thing a young man did."

If Pratt is found guilty, he could be sentenced to up to five years in federal prison and will have to pay a $250,000 fine.
