The Oklahoma High School football community is mourning the loss of a popular coach.
Scott Myers, coach of the Chandler Lions, passed away Wednesday after a two year battle with cancer.
Myers had served as head coach of the Moore Lions since 2008 before returning to his hometown of Chandler this season to coach the high school team.
Myers was diagnosed with renal cancer in 2010 and has been undergoing treatment since. He continued to coach the last two years while battling the disease.
He is survived by his wife Shelly and their two children.
