OKLAHOMA CITY --Oklahoma City Police say a man was stabbed and killed in broad daylight next to Hathaway Park Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the victim was sitting on a curb outside Hathaway Community Center, when another man walked over and stabbed him. Police say the victim collapsed a short-time later, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
There were several witnesses, according to police.
Arturo Moa's son Yadier is a third-grader at a nearby elementary school. He says he now doesn't think he will let his son walk through the park alone anymore.
"I'm kind of concerned. This has always been a quiet place. Not now. Not at all," Moa said.
Witnesses described the attacker as a white male wearing gray pants. He was last seen running from the park.
