Ardmore Schools Delay Start Of School Year

ARDMORE, Oklahoma -- Students in the Ardmore School District are getting two extra weeks of summer vacation.

The school board says it is pushing the start date back to August 31, heat is part of the reason why they made the decision.

The delay will also help cut costs and gives workers more time to finish several projects in the school district.
