PAULS VALLEY, Oklahoma -- The Garvin County district attorney has filed nearly a dozen charges against the former superintendent of Pauls Valley schools.
Bobby Don Russell resigned from the Pauls Valley School District in August 2010. Pauls Valley police immediately began investigating allegations he took money from the school district.
After an eight-month investigation, police arrested Russell Wednesday. He appeared before a Garvin County judge that same afternoon, who set his bond at $20,000.
The district attorney has charged Russell with four counts of embezzlement and six counts of obtaining money by false pretense. The judge has set a preliminary hearing for May 27.
