MUSTANG, Oklahoma -- A Mustang firefighter was arrested last week for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Mustang police Captain Willard James said their dispatch center received at least two calls about a possible intoxicated driver traveling west on State Highway 152 from County Line Road. A Mustang police officer caught up to Mustang firefighter John Huff and pulled him over just north of 152 on Mustang Road. The officer said he smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
During the traffic stop, another vehicle pulled up to the traffic stop and told police Huff had swerved over into his lane and hit his vehicle in the 1700 block of East State Highway 152.
Huff was booked on complaints of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and speeding 20 mph over the limit.
