Boy Hit, Killed by Truck in El Reno Identified

EL RENO, Oklahoma -- A 9-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a truck while riding his bike has been identified.

Police said third grader Joshua Cawthon died at the scene Tuesday evening in an El Reno neighborhood.

Sixty-year-old Arlie Knight, who was the driver of the truck that hit the boy, was treated for injuries.

El Reno Police Chief Ken Brown said Wednesday that Knight hadn't been cited, and officers were still interviewing witnesses.

Extra counselors were on hand at Joshua's school today to comfort classmates.
