ENID, Okla. - A tractor-trailer rig overturned and spilled about 2,000 gallons of fuel onto an Enid street Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of Chestnut Avenue, authorities said.
Enid Police Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said West Chestnut Avenue closed between N Johnson and N Van Buren streets, as crews worked the spill fuel leaking from an overturned tanker-truck. He said the truck belongs to Potter Oil Company.
Holtzclaw said the wreck happened about 1 p.m. and the driver was injured and transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid.
Officials evacuated a nearby business as a precaution while crews worked to clear the scene.
