A man was arrested on multiple complaints, including trafficking cocaine, after he led Oklahoma City police officers on a chase Thursday morning.
According to police, an officer thought he saw a suspect wanted on rape and kidnapping charges. So he tried to pull him over, but the suspect sped off. That's when the chase began. At some point during the chase, police said the suspect hit a U.S. Marshals' vehicle in a parking lot.
At about 9:25 a.m. the suspect crashed his vehicle near S. Meridian Ave. and Highline Blvd. He then jumped out of the car and ran away.
At about 9:30 a.m., police took the suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Bruce Griffin, into custody near Celebration Station at west I-40 service road and Westline Drive.
Police later told News 9 that Griffin is not the suspect wanted on rape and kidnapping charges. But he was arrested on complaints of trafficking CDS (cocaine), assault with a dangerous weapon on a police officer, possession of drug proceeds, and aggravated attempting to elude.
