Man Sentenced To Life Without Parole In Jaray Wilson Murder Trial

Tucker McGee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder of missing Weatherford teen Jaray Wilson.

A Custer County jury found McGee guilty of the crime in early March after a 6-day trial and two and a half hours of deliberation.

Sixteen-year-old Jaray went missing in October 2012 and her remains were found on a lonely county road outside of Weatherford in December 2013.

The defense tried to argue that McGee was high on the synthetic drug K2 the day he murdered Jaray and was hallucinating. In the end, however, the prosecution proved McGee was well aware of his actions, and had deliberate intent to kill Jaray by shooting her twice in the head and burying her body.

Jaray's family called it "justice" when McGee was found guilty for the murder of their daughter.

Cody Godfrey pleaded guilty to Accessory After the Fact for moving Jaray's body from the murder scene. He received a 7-year suspended sentence.
