Authorities Seek Suspect In Norman Bank Robbery

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Norman Friday afternoon.

At about 3:50 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the robbery at the Communication Federal Credit Union, located at 300 S.E. 12th Avenue.

Authorities say a man walked into the bank and passed a note to the bank teller, demanding money. The suspect reportedly told the teller he was armed. 

The man took about $2,500 and left the bank on foot, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The suspect stands 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighs 150 to 160 pounds. He was about 50 to 60 years old.

The man was wearing a black ball cap with an unknown multi-colored design, black jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

No one was injured during the incident.

The robbery is under the investigation of Norman police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
