Four teens have been arrested Saturday night, after stealing and crashing a vehicle in East Tulsa, police said.
According to officials, police responded to the 2300 block of South 99 EA after receiving reports that a pedestrian was hit by a car. Officers learned that the victim was injured when he was trying to stop suspects from stealing his Mercedes.
Officers found the stolen Mercedes abandoned near the 10400 block of East 21st Street. The suspects crashed the vehicle into the back of another vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light, official said.
Police established a perimeter after the four suspects fled the scene and ran through a neighborhood.
Officers quickly caught the four female suspects, ages 15 to 16-year-old.
Further investigation indicates that the Mercedes was left running in the victim's driveway. When the suspects drove away, the victim attempted to stop them, but was dragged by the vehicle, officials said.
The victim suffered minor injuries that were treated by EMSA and the Tulsa Fire Department, police said.
According to officials, the four teens were arrested for larceny of auto. The driver of the stolen vehicle will face additional charges including two counts of hit and run.
