A Tulsa County Judge was indicted by a grand jury Monday, January 14. District Judge James Caputo was indicted
Caputo held a news conference in October in response to accusations that he was under investigation for using the services of a prostitute at a massage parlor. Caputo announced at that time that he had been informed if he resigned from office before the election in November, no one would ever hear about the allegations.
He said at that time that he was set up in a campaign scam, and he denied ever using the services of a prostitute.
Caputo lost his bid for re-election with Tracy Priddy winning 60.4 percent of the vote to his 39.6 percent.
Caputo was back in the news earlier this month for sentencing a man to 10 years probation for shooting with intent to kill. The Tulsa County District Attorney wanted 10 years imprisonment.
Joseph Zannotti, 20, pleaded guilty to shooting a gun out of a vehicle at an SUV with five people in it.
