The court hearing scheduled for a former Tulsa County reserve deputy who made national headlines for killing a man during an undercover operation did not happen.

According to court documents, Robert Bates was set to appear in Judge William Musseman's court Tuesday morning, but the Tulsa County DA's office said Bates already attended a hearing on December 21st so Tuesday's hearing was not needed.

Bates was scheduled to go on trial February 8, 2016 for second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Eric Harris. Judge Musseman set a new date of April 18, 2016 after two previous judges recused themselves.
