The University of Tulsa's College of Law accepted a $1 million gift today that will expand the Boesche Legal Clinic, which is a nonprofit law firm.
The newly established Lobeck-Taylor Family Advocacy Clinic will specifically focus on representing women and children in court.
"We are representing these clients in a gold standard manner, and we are teaching our students gold standard practices," TU College of Law dean Janet Levit said. "And that's expensive."
Levit said that there's another benefit as well.
"It's also helping our students be trained to be not only tremendous lawyers, but community-minded lawyers," she said.
