Man Critically Injured In Downtown Tulsa Stabbing

A downtown Tulsa stabbing sent one man to the hospital in critical condition Sunday morning.

Police received a call from an Occupy Tulsa protester around 10 a.m. saying that a man was stabbed in an alleyway near the 6th Street park.

Police say the victim was stabbed in the upper body by a man in a wheelchair who was still at the scene when police arrived. The suspect was placed into custody shortly after.

Emergency crews were performing chest compressions on the victim before transporting him to a Tulsa hospital.

Police have not released a motive. They believe both the victim and suspect are homeless.
