DOUGLASS, Oklahoma – The Douglass Trojans clinched a third-place finish in District 4A-1 Thursday with a 54-14 victory over the Piedmont Wildcats.
Douglass (7-3, 5-2) had already clinched a playoff berth, but could have finished with a No. 4 seed with a loss. Elk City can still tie Douglass’ district record, but the Trojans’ victory over Elk City in the district opener guarantees their No. 3 seed.
