TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Shock announced Monday it has waived center Jacinta Monroe.
The move comes less than two weeks after acquiring the second-year center leaving an empty spot on the 11-person roster.
Monroe, a 6-foot-5 center, appeared in 17 games for the Washington Mystics in 2010, averaging 2.1 points in 6.9 minutes a game. Monroe was selected sixth overall in the 2010 WNBA Draft by the Mystics before being traded alongside Katie Smith to the Seattle Storm this past off-season.
While with Tulsa, Monroe appeared in four games, scoring no points and averaged 5.3 minutes per game.
