TULSA, Oklahoma – The City of Tulsa will offer free landfill days this Saturday, October 23rd, and Sunday, October 24th.

Citizens can drop off their unwanted items at the Quarry Landfill, 13740 E. 46th St. North.

City officials said items containing Freon refrigerant will not be accepted. There will also be a $2 fee for each discarded tire.

Citizens must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or driver's license with an address within the Tulsa city limits.

The landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The city wants to stress to citizens that the landfill where the event will be held is not the landfill the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality cited "as a threat to public health and welfare."
