Tropical Storm Cristina formed far off Mexico's Baja peninsula on Saturday and forecasters said it does not threaten land.
It is the third named storm of the eastern Pacific hurricane season.
Saturday night, Cristina was located about 1,195 miles (1,920 kilometers) southwest of Baja California's southern tip with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph (85 kph), according to Miami's National Hurricane Center.
Forecasters say the storm was moving out to sea at 9 mph (15 kph).
It joins Tropical Storm Boris, which was 630 miles (1,015 kilometers) off the Baja tip, moving out to sea at 9 mph (15 kph) with winds of 50 mph (85 kph).
