A Texas man is dead following a drowning near Pawhuska.

The Osage County Sheriffâ€™s office tells us around 7:30 PM Thursday, 26-year-old Reyes Carrillo and a friend were swimming in Bluestem Lake from one boat dock to another. When Carrillo got tired halfway there and went underwater. His friend and others tried to help in the rescue, but they were not successful.

Carrillo and his wife are from Denver City, Texas.
