OLATHE, Kan. (AP) -- An agent for former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson faces felony charges of commercial bribery and theft.
Johnson County authorities say Bill Henkel is free on $10,000 bond. Henkel is the managing director of Ten Sports Marketing.
Prosecutors say the charges are related to a sports memorabilia deal that Henkel negotiated involving San Diego Chargers star LaDainian Tomlinson. Henkel is the former football marketing director of International Management Group's football division.
Prosecutors say Henkel solicited a kickback for a deal involving the Pro Bowl running back, then received part of the kickback without the knowledge of Tomlinson or IMG.
A lawyer for Henkel says the case will be vigorously defended.
