LAS VEGAS (AP) _ It's been a down year for the Boston Celtics but one of their players has reached new heights. Gerald Green of the Celtics captured the slam-dunk contest during NBA All-Star weekend festivities.
One of Green's dunks came when he leaped over 5'9" Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks. Robinson, the defending dunk champion, finished second.
Miami's Jason Kapono won the three-point shooting contest, defeating Washington's Gilbert Arenas and Dallas's Dirk Nowitzki in the final round.
Miami's Dwyane Wade defeated the LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant to win the skills competition for the second straight year.
