OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A Newcastle man has been charged in Canadian County District Court with three felony counts of home repair fraud.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson said Jeffrey M. Fitzpatrick was charged Wednesday on charges that allege he bilked consumers out of almost $100,000.
He said his office has received 14 complaints against Fitzpatrick, identified as the owner of AAA Pools.
Edmondson said consumers should take precautions when dealing with home repairmen such as demanding a detailed written contract and not paying a large amount of money up front.
