NWS Confirms EF-1 Tornado Occurred In Muskogee County Friday

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has determined that and EF-1 tornado occurred near Keefton, Oklahoma Friday morning.

"This tornado developed along Elm Grove Road, west of S 25th Street E, where outbuildings were damaged and trees were uprooted. It moved eastward damaging or destroying about sixteen homes, destroying a number of outbuildings, uprooting numerous trees, and snapping numerous power poles until it dissipated just east of the Muskogee Turnpike," says an NWS report.


An EF-1 tornado can generate between 86 to 110 mph winds.
