1 Dead In Shooting At Midwest City Apartment Complex

One person is dead after a shooting at a Midwest City apartment complex, Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, officers responded to a shots fired call at 2:25 a.m. at the Fairfax Apartments near Northeast 10th Street and North Midwest Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a female victim, identified as 25-year-old Nicosha Nelson with a gun shot wound.

Police said the Nelson had just returned to her apartment when a suspect fired a shot through the window and hit her.

She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

There is currently no suspect information.
