The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is offering a free antibody test.

It's part of their study to look at the immune system’s response to COVID-19.

Researchers are hoping to study the blood of infected patients at the hospital and those who have recovered from the virus.

The other goal of the two-year project is to study the effects of COVID-19 on Native Americans.

OMRF will offer a finger prick antibody test for free.

Those with COVID-19 antibodies will be asked to donate blood for the larger study.

“We want to understand why some people get sick and other people don’t get sick,” said Linda Thompson, the lead researcher.

The two-year project is funded by a $1.75 million grant.

If you are interested in participating, please call OMRF at 405-271-7221 or send an email to Jackie-Keyser@omrf.org.
