School officials of Heritage Elementary in Kingfisher said they are moving to distance learning for 14 days after multiple teachers tested positive for COVID-19.

School officials of Heritage Elementary in Kingfisher said they are moving to distance learning for 14 days after multiple teachers tested positive for COVID-19.

In an announcement Monday on Facebook, Kingfisher Public Schools Superintendent Jason Sternberger said a second teacher had tested positive for coronavirus and two additional teachers tested positive after contact tracing.

The school is in the process of notifying parents with children of the specific classrooms.

Starting Tuesday, August 17 Heritage Elementary will move to distance learning. Siblings of students who attend Heritage are asked to stay home also.
