Little Axe Student Tests Positive For COVID-19; Classes To Begin Online

Little Axe Public Schools is making some changes to avoid a COVID-19 outbreak.

On Friday, Little Axe said a student tested positive for the virus prompting a contract tracing response. School officials say that all individuals who have had close contact with the student have been contacted, and that all CDC guidelines are already in place. The district says that several members of the staff have also started exhibiting symptoms but have not confirmed positive tests.

The district will switch to virtual learning starting Monday and have canceled all athletics for the time being.
