Oklahoma’s Own News 9 announced today that it will host an Oklahoma Fifth District General Election Debate between Congresswoman Kendra Horn and State Senator Stephanie Bice on October 14 at 9 p.m.
“The Fifth District race is one of the most closely watched races both locally and in the nation,” said Nathan Elliott, News 9 Director of Content. “As Oklahoma City’s only locally owned station we feel it is important for us to present this debate so the questions can be asked about issues important to our viewers and Oklahomans can hear directly from the candidates on those, so that viewers can make their choice as Oklahoma votes in November.”
Longtime News 9 anchors Kelly Ogle and Amanda Taylor will moderate the debate along with contributor Alex Cameron, News 9 Washington Bureau Chief. Oklahomans will be able to submit potential topics and questions through both News9.com and social media prior to the debate.
Oklahoma Votes: Fifth District Debate will be carried on News 9, News9.com and the News 9 OTT app (available for free on Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV).
