OKCFD: Man Dies Of His Injuries Following NW OKC Duplex Fire

Officials said a man rescued from a fire Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma City has died from his injuries.

Officials said a man rescued from a fire Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma City has died from his injuries.

According to the report, crews arrived just before 10:30 a.m. to the duplex located in the 1200 block of N. Villa and reported seeing visible smoke.

Firefighters battling the fire located a man inside. Officials said he was unconscious, wasn’t breathing and had no pulse.

CPR was administered on the victim before he was taken to a local hospital. Officials said the man died from his injuries sometime after 5 p.m. Thursday.

The cause of the fire has been classified as accidental, according to investigators. Officials said the fire was likely electrical.

The victim has not yet been identified.
