The Choctaw-Nicoma Park school district said it will announce it’s plan to bring students back inside the classroom at Monday night's school board meeting.

In an email to parents, the School Superintendent, David Reid, said the plan is to bring students back to in-person learning four days a week starting next Tuesday, October 20th.

The superintendent said next week, there will only be three days of on-site learning because of Fall Break, plus one day of distance learning on Wednesday.

Then, the next four weeks will consist of four days of in-person learning with virtual learning on Wednesday.

By going virtual, the district said it will be able to deep clean common areas like classrooms, bathrooms, and cafeterias.

The district plans to bring students back full-time on Monday November 30th, as long as Oklahoma County’s infection rate stays steady.

The school board meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Choctaw Middle School Cafeteria. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
