Salted Caramel Pear Galette
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- 3 pears, peeled & cored
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the pie crust in the center of the baking sheet and allow it to come to room temperature.
- Slice the pears into very thin slices and put In a medium sized bowl.
- Drizzle the pears with caramel sauce and stir in the flour so that the pears are coated in caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle with sea salt.
To assemble the galette:
- Set the pear mixture into the center of the pie crust.
- Fold the sides up around the pear mixture.
- You will not be able to cover the pears completely and the center will be open.
- Sprinkle with pecans and brush the crust with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the pears are bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Serve with ice cream or chilled cream.
