Bixby, Tulsa Police Search For Man Accused Of Leading Officers On Chase In Stolen Truck

Bixby and Tulsa police officers say they are searching for a man accused of leading them on a chase in a stolen truck early on Wednesday morning.

According to officers, the chase began when a Bixby officer spotted the stolen truck near East 151st Street South and South Memorial Drive.

Police said that the driver would not stop so officers followed the suspect back to his nearby mobile home where he dropped off a woman and a child and still refused to surrender to authorities.

According to officers, when they tried to stop the the man from leaving, the suspect put the truck in reverse, hitting the officer with the vehicle's door. Police said they tried to use a taser on the suspect, but it did not work.

Bixby and Tulsa officers continued to chase the suspect across both cities before he eventually abandoned the truck in near West 57th Street and South Yukon Avenue and fled on foot into the woods.

According to Bixby police, they know the suspects name and hope to have charges filed against him.
