Travelers who want to get tested for COVID-19 will have up to three days before and after their flights to do so.
Although some passengers said they would not take it, they said it would come in handy for those that want to.
"Yeah, I can definitely see why someone would take it, especially with people who aren't of the best health," says TIA passenger Tyler Henry.
Travelers can get The PCR test, rapid antigen test, and the COVID-19 antibody test at Tulsa International Airport, which is provided by Alpha Medical Laboratory, LLC.
Passengers will have to pay, but those who are insured can submit their lab test to their insurance for reimbursement.
Some travelers said as convenient the testing would be, they wouldn't take it unless they feel symptoms.
"I would of course wear a face mask and everything like that," Handy says. "If I felt like I was 100 percent healthy ,then I wouldn't take it. But If I had any type of symptoms then I would take the test for sure."
Testing will open only to ticketed passengers on a walk-in and appointment basis.
They can get the test Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
