Del City police said a man is behind bars following a deadly shooting in a neighborhood near Southeast 29th Street and Sooner Road.  Investigators said it happened outside a home Saturday night.

Police said just before midnight, they received a call of shots fired and people screaming.

"I get up and look out the window, I see commotion at the house, people going in and out," said a neighbor.

Officers quickly got to the scene and found a man and woman who had both been shot.

Del City detectives said Lakota Woods got into an argument with 27-year-old Devonta Williams, who she was in a relationship with.  As it escalated, authorities said Woods called her uncle, Aussie Paschal, to give her a ride away from the house.

"At some point, the uncle became involved in it," said Major Brad Rule, with Del City Police. "The suspect ended up shooting both of them."

Police say Woods was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Paschal had been shot in the chest and he was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

"It was unsettling, it upset my stomach," said the neighbor. "It was crazy because it's pretty quiet around here."

Police said Williams was arrested at the scene. He was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on two complaints of first-degree murder.
