At Fort Sill, officials are investigating allegations of sexual assault reported by a female trainee.
Several instructors are suspended pending the results of the investigation.
A national online publication is reporting that 22 military members are being accused of sexually assaulting a trainee.
"We've taken immediate action. With any member involved in this investigation, we've removed them from their normal duties. They have been suspended," said Major General Kenneth Kamper.
The report from the "Intercept" cites a Fort Sill official with direct knowledge of the investigation.
The unnamed official told the "Intercept," the female trainee made a formal report on March 27, 2021.
It says she identified seven of an alleged 22 members involved in assaulting her.
According to the official, the incidents at times involved groups of assailants.
The official says investigators have a video of at least one incident, but the Army denies the existence of a video. It allegedly involves several drill sergeants.
The Intercept cited the official as calling it a "sex ring," which he said, "is not one you love to hear."
None of this has been confirmed by Fort Sill or the Army.
Fort Sill said the female trainee who made the report has met directly with Fort Sill leadership and is cooperating.
