Muskogee Man Accused Of Assault; Shot In The Leg By Tulsa Officer

A Muskogee man is in jail after being shot in the leg over the weekend by Tulsa Police. 

Cerrion Brown is in jail for two complaints of assault with a deadly weapon. 

The shooting happened 3rd and Elgin Saturday. Police have not provided any details about what led to the shooting but said an officer shot Brown in the leg.

Officers said Brown tried to run away after being shot but was caught and taken into custody. 

He was booked into jail Sunday after police said he was released from the hospital.  

News On 6 has requested Brown's arrest report to learn more details about what led up to the police shooting.
