Pawhuska’s 75th Annual Cavalcade Rodeo event kicks off Tuesday morning and will be packed with events this week from sun up to long after sundown. They are welcoming back spectators at full capacity this year for a long line of events.
Thousands of people are expected to attend Cavalcade at the Osage County Fairgrounds this week to see the “world’s largest amateur rodeo” for themselves. More than 100 clubs of competitors, which adds up to about 1000 people, will be fighting for a win in several categories this week including wagon racing, horse roping, bull riding, and much more.
The gates open at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Spectators can watch any event any day for an admission fee of $5 in the mornings and $10 in the afternoons. There are also several different fees for the dances, all-inclusive tickets, and multi-day options. To buy tickets, Click Here.
There are various concerts, dances and more in the entertainment lineup after the rodeo competition events as well. The full lineup of events can be found by Clicking Here
Parking is free for all of the onsite lots. There are multiple areas around the fairgrounds for parking, all of which will be marked with appropriate signs.
Cavalcade chairman Jeff Bute said last year, they had to cut attendance to only 10% capacity due to COVID-19, but now they are thrilled to welcome everyone back in full this year.
“We want them to have the greatest Cavalcade experience, we want them to enjoy themselves, and come see why we love this event,” Bute said.
The move-in period for campers began on Saturday so everyone could get settled in, but the official events run from Tuesday morning to Sunday night.
