Oklahoma City police are asking for tips related to a morning shooting that killed a 19-year-old.
Officers responded to the incident in the 1400 block of Reding Dr. in southwest Oklahoma City around 12:30 a.m. and found the victim, Daniel Green, deceased in his home.
Police said he stepped out to “investigate some vandalism to his vehicle” when his family inside heard several gunshots. Green was shot and later died.

One city resident, who asked to not be identified for this story, said he was driving on Reding Dr. early Wednesday morning when he heard gunshots.
“I thought it was maybe a firecracker, all of a sudden I heard a few more ‘pow pows,’” he said.
The driver later found signs of gunshots that struck the bottom of the car's driver door and his gas cap. He was not injured and said he is thankful he was able to go home to his family.
“If it were to come through the door, it would have penetrated my legs,” he said. “Out of nowhere, my life could have been (taken). At a stop sign, for no reason.
Police did not release suspect information and said it is unclear if there was any motive behind the shooting.
