A local father discovered his daughter bleeding in an alleyway. Enid police said she was stabbed multiple times.

The victim, 40-year-old Teria Turner, is recovering after investigators found her covered in blood around 2 a.m. Monday morning.

Her father, David Turner, told 911 dispatch she called him for help. That’s when he found her near the 300 Block of West Wabash and Washington.

“My daughter is laying in the alley and she can’t move, it looks like she has blood on her,” he told dispatch.

911 Dispatch: Ma’am what’s wrong?

Teria Turner: I've been stabbed.

911 Dispatch: You’ve been stabbed, where have you been stabbed?

Teria Turner: My stomach and my arms.

The police report stated Turner had "several defensive wounds on both her arms and back." Officers on scene took photos of 6 of the 7 stab wounds that were visible. The one on her abdomen was "approximately 2 inches in length."

“We believe she was stabbed with a knife of some sort. There was a sheath, an empty knife sheath, found at the scene of the crime,” said Cass Rains with the Enid Police Department.

Turner said she was stabbed by her boyfriend but didn't say his name. Her father told police he is 37-year-old Donyel Tyrone Johnson.

911 Dispatch: Is he still around, the person that did this to you?

Teria Turner: I don’t know.

Investigators have not interviewed Turner. They plan to wait until she is out of the hospital.

“She was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City this morning where she underwent surgery for her injuries and then was put into a recovery room,” said Rains.

Officers arrested Johnson just before 7:30 p.m. Monday on a complaint of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the stabbing and unrelated county warrants.
